A casual week with a lot of progress on the painterly, including song art, assets and character design.

Update - Week 05 - 2022

This week had a lower rhythm. But I have a new project in scope and a mind to work things - though I was distracted by my own personal work.

This week had a rough start, mainly because I worked 7 days previous. So this week had a slow ramp up to then work on things.

A last minute contract for the weekend, lot's of optimization and assets for the painterly and all round incredible labour hours this week

This is a combined weekly report - with some heavy performance audit musing! Many lessons learned. I can't say my past 2 years are a success.

End of the year! Ramp up to vacation time and quick push to finish NDA work for the year. Audit coming soon!

Nearing the end of the year means one last push to finish expectation - including testing a city layout and refining the "shower door" issue.

Blog - Starting to enjoy Geometry Nodes

Been using Geometry nodes to make some tools to make the city in the style that I want. It has been slow progress, but steady.

Update - Week 48 - 2021

Long hours, hard focus on asset creation, closing a client, and painterly love!

Blog - Modeling for the Painterlies

When the shader is ready, and the model relatively low poly and blobby for the brush style, modeling becomes quite organic and interesting.

Blog - Even with no post-processing....

It still looks incredibly great. Prepping props for the painterly is quite gratifying as soon as the shader is applied.
